The film tells the tale of Merida, a headstrong and free-spirited princess who challenges her kingdom’s long standing traditions to live a life of independence. When she seeks help from a witch, an ill-fated wish is granted and Merida must undo a beastly curse before it’s too late. 

In the Highlands of Scotland, the kingdom of DunBroch resides. Merida and her family live within the walls of its strongly-built castle, constructed to be unyielding and simple in design. In this Loungefly depiction, the castle is recreated in custom-shaped applique, bringing forth its down-to-earth beauty. A starry sky sets a night time scene as Merida, as a faux leather charm, ventures into the forest, armed with her bow. Upon opening the clasp, Merida is seen sitting with her mother, Elinor, in her bear form as the sun rises after an arduous journey. On the back, Merida’s triplet brothers, Harris, Hubert and Hamish, are also seen in their bear forms.
